Initial Release v1.0

The goal of Version 1 was to expand functionality beyond the core builder — introducing advanced analytics, practice tools, visual insights, and quality-of-life improvements for a complete training environment.

Beta

Release Date: Apr 21, 2025

The goal of the Beta release was to enhance usability, introduce advanced training modes, and make Chessboard Magic fully responsive across devices — bringing the platform closer to production readiness.

• + Weakness Trainer — Targets the positions you’ve consistently struggled with, offering laser-focused practice to convert problem areas into strengths. Displays your lowest-scoring positions from across all repertoires — just click and train.
• + Spaced Trainer — Built on the principles of spaced repetition. Uses the FSRS memory model to estimate when you’re most likely to forget a move and schedules reviews just in time — allowing fewer repetitions with greater retention. Ideal for long-term mastery and effortless repertoire consolidation.
• + Master Game Review — Explore how top players handle your repertoire positions through real master games that match your lines. Deepen your understanding and see your repertoire in action, played out on the biggest stage.
• + Import Master Games — Directly import master games into your repertoire for deeper study and expansion.
• + Move Card Upgrades — Improved usability with enhanced annotations, visual cues, and multiple move-highlighting modes.

Alpha

The goal of the Alpha release was to establish the core infrastructure and deliver the minimum functional platform — enabling users to build, analyze, and train their repertoires while testing stability and system performance.
