This feature allows you to play against a selection of curated Bots modeled after legendary grandmasters. Each Bot will follow its own opening tree — faithfully playing the lines and preferences associated with that player. Once the opening phase is complete, the Bot transitions to Stockfish to finish the game, giving you an experience that blends authentic opening style with a strong, consistent engine-driven middlegame and endgame. This creates a unique training environment where you can feel how different great players might approach the same position, especially in the opening.
You can currently:
- + Select from Bots inspired by iconic players such as Fischer, Kasparov, Karpov, Carlsen, and more
- + Choose how many of the Bot’s top moves (N) will be considered during play
- + Experience real opening pressure by training against authentic style-based repertoires
- + Test your repertoire against a variety of opening approaches and strategic philosophies
Note: Practice Bots are an evolving feature. Future updates will introduce deeper style modelling, more legendary players, and support for creating custom Bots generated directly from your own repertoires.
