The Chessboard Magic Repertoire Builder offers a free tier to get you started. If you need more room, you can upgrade your account to increase your limits. Go to My Profile → Upgrade to begin.
How upgrading works
- + Phase 1 — Connect your account to Patreon
Connect your Repertoire Builder account to Patreon so the app can securely recognize your membership and apply the correct limits. - + Phase 2 — Choose a Patreon tier
Select your preferred tier on Patreon. When you return and refresh the Upgrade page, your new limits will be applied.
What is Patreon?
Patreon is a membership platform where creators offer monthly tiers with benefits. Payments are handled by Patreon (we do not store your card details). Linking Patreon to Chessboard Magic lets your membership unlock higher account limits.
Step-by-step
- + Open My Profile → Upgrade and click Connect to Patreon. Sign in (or create a Patreon account).
- + On Patreon, choose your tier and confirm membership.
- + Return to Chessboard Magic and refresh the page. Your account limits should update.
Processing time
Upgrades should apply instantly. In some cases there may be a short delay (about 30–60 seconds) while Patreon confirms your membership and the app updates your limits. If it doesn’t update right away, refresh the page after a minute.

Cancel anytime
- + You can cancel your Patreon membership at any time via Patreon. Your account keeps its current limits for the remainder of the paid period, then automatically reverts to the free tier.
Troubleshooting
- + If limits don’t update: wait 60 seconds, refresh, or sign out and back in.
