The Playbook allows you to load and explore curated move collections based on famous players, grandmasters, or stylistic archetypes. Each Playbook acts as a living reference — showing how legends such as Bobby Fischer, Garry Kasparov, or Magnus Carlsen approached specific openings and middlegame structures. By comparing your own repertoire with these reference maps, you can identify stylistic overlaps, strategic differences, and new ideas worth adopting.
Click on the vertical three-dot menu ⋮ in the top-right corner to open the Load Playbook dialog. From here, you can browse through our collection or use the search bar to quickly find a specific Playbook. Each Playbook entry displays its name, description, number of moves, and colour to help you choose the right reference profile.
For the current position, you will see:
- ◦ The most common next moves played, highlighted in green if they already exist in your opened item
- ◦ The number of games in which each move appeared in the Playbook
- ◦ The percentage frequency of each move within the Playbook
- ◦ The Win–Draw–Loss (WDL) percentages based on the Playbook
This feature helps you:

- + Study how grandmasters approached key openings and positions
- + Compare your repertoire directly with master-level decision patterns
